Visitation
 |
Cachaça CARVALHEIRA
plant will soon be transformed into a point for
tourist visitation. The idea came to life after
spontaneous demands of tourists and friends to visit
cachaça aging sheds, bottling and quality
control process.
The area of 5.000 m², located at Manoel Didier
Street N. 53, Imbiribeira, Recife, is being constructed
and adapted little by little. The whole project
is based on cultural manifestations of our State. |
|
A restaurant is being projected to work in specific
schedules, where visitors will be able to appreciate
a little of good music from Pernambuco, while tasting
drinks like GABRIELA, with aged cachaça,
coke, cinnamon, ice and lemon; CAIANA, with aged
cachaça, sugar cane broth, lemon and pineapple
juice, and PURE PASSION, with cachaça FLOWER
OF LEMON, mint leaf, lemon juice and sugar.
In an adapted container, whose name is Cold Hole,
one can see used objects, such as parts of ships
and old locomotives, equipment plates from disabled
mills etc, and one can taste, in low temperature,
cachaças and others flavorful drinks as Brown
Caipirinha, made with aged Carvalheira, aroma of
sugar lemon.
A shop will be installed in other point, where "souvenirs"
will be sold that valorizes culture in Pernambuco
besides cachaças CARVALHEIRA, as well as
a projection room, where one will see images of
old mills and images of sugar cane plantation, including
cutting, harvest and transport.
Installation of a small
milling is also in project, fermentation dornas
and a copper still to demonstrate the manufacturing
process of cachaça to visitors. Visitors
and tourists will know more about the history
of cachaças in Pernambuco, through
a "display" with many bottles of
cachaça, from all kinds and times and
labels from bottles from different parts of
the country
Alongside with all these attractions, visitors
will be able to follow the preparation process
of white oak barrels, the drink placement
into them, the aging process, the quality
control, bottling and finally the tasting
of the refined cachaça. |
